AOE Project ACCESS: Making the scholarly publication process accessible in biomedical and medical education research

Speakers:

Amy Moore, M.Ed., is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and Project Manager of Education Programs, Center for Anesthesiology Education, at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. In her current role, she works collaboratively with Anesthesiology Education Leadership to develop and implement educational initiatives for anesthesiology staff to enhance their professional development as well as trainees to support their scholarly output. Ms. Moore previously spent 22 years in the Cleveland Clinic Education Institute serving as a Staff Editor for the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine and managing scholary activity skills training for GME trainees enterprise-wide. She holds a master鈥檚 degree in health professions education from a joint program between the Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland State University and a bachelor鈥檚 degree in journalism from Ohio University. She is currently working on a doctoral degree in Education via Penn State World Campus with a focus on women in academic leadership. Her professional interests include health professions education and scholarly activities.
Researchers Examine Career Confidence in Underrepresented Biomedical Scientist Trainees | Newsroom Beka Layton, Ph. D.,is the Director of Professional Development Programs. In this role,听she is responsible for career awareness and career development programming for biomedical PhD students. Dr. Layton also meets with trainees for individual career coaching and leads the Career Cohorts and Skills Certificate Series programs.
