Mental Health First Aid Training for 大象传媒-Chapel Hill.

Mental Health First Aid logoMental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training that will give students, staff, and faculty the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Just as CPR training helps a layperson without medical training assist an individual following a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid training helps a layperson assist someone experiencing a mental health crisis.

The School of Social Work has been the primary 大象传媒 Chapel Hill campus provider of Mental Health First Aid since 2015. In late 2021, the federal grant that had historically funded the program ended. We are excited to announce that 大象传媒 Chapel Hill administration has now provided funding for the program to continue in 2022-2023!

We are in the process of making improvements to the program and plan to restart trainings in Spring 2022. Thank you for your patience during this process.

If you are not a 大象传媒 student, staff or faculty, you may sign up for training in the local community at:
