Of course, MI聽doesn’t聽just consist of听迟丑别辞谤别迟颈肠补濒 constructs – it鈥檚 being used in ongoing studies and projects nationwide! Take a look at our MI in Action feature this week, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham:

Carol Golin, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, 大象传媒 Chapel Hill and Steve Bradley-Bull, MEd, LPC, Motivational Interviewing Specialist, 大象传媒 Chapel Hill, recently conducted a Motivational Interviewing booster training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for a project called . This project focuses on helps individuals who are newly enrolled in HIV care in adhering to HIV medication and staying in care. The training included clinicians from 4 sites across the United States, from Seattle, Washington to Baltimore, Maryland.

The training鈥檚 priority was to review Motivational Interviewing skills and to discuss the successes and challenges of using them in their sessions. Using skill building exercises, videos, demonstrations, role plays, and discussions, the clinicians expressed a better understanding of the skills and how to more effectively use them with their clients.
