Behavior Navigator
The Behavior Navigator offers services to researchers at 大象传媒 Chapel Hill conducting clinical studies, particularly researchers without extensive experience conducting clinical research. These services are offered as part of the Clinical Translation Core at 大象传媒鈥檚 Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC). Heather Hazlett, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, serves as the 大象传媒 IDDRC Behavior Navigator, bringing expertise in clinical neuropsychology and intellectual and developmental disabilities. As the Behavior Navigator, Dr. Hazlett can assist with:
- The design of clinical studies examining intellectual and developmental disabilities
- The development of clinical teams
- Selection and interpretation of diagnostic, symptom, and neuropsychological measures
- Practical aspects of research (e.g., hiring experts and staff to conduct data collection for investigators who are not themselves experts in behavioral measurement)
All publications and presentations that include assistance from the 大象传媒 IDDRC should acknowledge this support using this language: “Assistance for this project was provided by the 大象传媒 Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (NICHD; P50 HD103573).”
