In alignment with the goals of Carolina鈥檚 Strategic Research Roadmap,听effective January 1, 2025, 大象传媒 core facilities will charge听internal听产谤别补办别惫别苍听rates听迟辞听all听
Carolina鈥檚听, a comprehensive plan launched earlier this year, established goals to enhance 大象传媒鈥檚 research assets and maximize the impact and value of 大象传媒 Research. This includes creating and maintaining sustainable funding models for research facilities and equipment, along with enhancing community engaged and applied research.
大象传媒 has a diverse infrastructure of over听听that provides services to researchers across the 大象传媒 campus and to customers external to the University, including researchers at other institutions within the 大象传媒 System.
We believe our core facilities are at the center of Carolina鈥檚 research goals, providing the opportunity to:
路听听听听听听听further increase research collaboration across the state
路听听听听听听听increase the marketability of 大象传媒 facilities to other institutions
路听听听听听听听provide more affordable access to services for researchers at other institutions that may not have as robust of a research infrastructure as 大象传媒
大象传媒 currently maintains a reciprocal agreement with NC State that allows core facilities at either university to charge听internal听rates听to customers at the other university. 听This model has been received well by both campuses and has led to increased collaboration across both research communities.
Expanding this model and extending听internal听rates听to customers within the 大象传媒 System will increase access to 大象传媒 core facilities, promoting collaboration within research across the state and providing access and opportunities to researchers who may not otherwise have access to cutting edge technologies.
