Biographical Information
Dr. Aymes听currently serves as the Program Director for the 大象传媒 Preventive Medicine Residency Program seated in the Department of Family Medicine.听 She also practices at the 大象传媒 Medical Weight Program at Eastowne听and Panther Creek locations听 She听is board certified in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine,听and Preventive Medicine.听 She obtained her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. 听
After practicing primary care in academic settings in New Jersey, providing care for uninsured patients in North Carolina, and working as a physician advisor/consultant for 9 years, she returned to training at 大象传媒 and completed a Master鈥檚 in Public Health and preventive medicine residency.听 听
Outside of work, she can most often be found playing card games and watching Marvel movies with her 3 children, walking her rescue puppy with her husband, camping and hiking, reading science fiction novels, and trying out new creative hobbies. 听
Areas of Interest
Dr. Aymes听is interested in addressing the disease of obesity and its associated complications through population health approaches, teaching the next generation of public health physicians, and influencing policy decisions affecting health coverage for state employees. 听
