Courtney earned her PhD in Biomolecular Sciences from the University of Central Florida in 2007, followed by a postdoctoral fellowships in the laboratories of Drs. Manzoor Bhat (2008-2012) and Ben Philpot (2012-2016) at 大象传媒 Chapel Hill.聽 She joined the laboratory of Dr. Jonathan Berg in 2016 as a Biocurator and now serves as the Director of the ClinGen-affiliated 大象传媒 Biocuration and Coordination Core, with oversight of training, progress, and development of clinical domain working groups and expert panels within ClinGen.
