Caitie is a 3rd year Ph.D. Candidate in the Human Movement Science Curriculum doctoral program and a member of the Psychology of Sport Injury Laboratory in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at ´óÏó´«Ã½. Caitie is a certified and licensed athletic trainer with an expertise in the psychology of sport injury. Caitie's work seeks to understand the psychophysiological consequences of sleep on psychological and mental health outcomes in individuals after sustaining a sport-related injury and/or managing chronic diseases like osteoarthritis and systemic inflammatory conditions. She is passionate about leveraging lifestyle medicine approaches and optimizing health outcomes through a patient-centered, clinician-focused lens. Caitie's work has been funded by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
