Safety is one of the six aims of quality. In order to promote patient safety, health care professionals need to experience psychological safety themselves. A just culture 鈥� one that recognizes that people work in systems, and that system failures are to blame for errors rather than individuals 鈥� is essential to supporting greater reliability within organizations.
