If you have between three and eight years of faculty experience, a doctoral degree, and an idea for a scholarly project focused on academic medicine, 大象传媒 invites candidates 聽to apply for sponsorship for the聽, presented by the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation. 大象传媒 can put forth one candidate for this limited-submission application.
The Macy Faculty Scholars Program seeks to identify early-career faculty who have shown great promise as educators, clinicians, and role models and who are committed to careers in health professions education.
Each Macy Faculty Scholar receives:
- Up to $100,000 in salary support per year for two years, protecting 50% of their time to pursue a mentored educational project at their sponsoring institution
- $25,000 per year for two years to subsidize the cost of professional development activities and expenses related to their educational project
- A formal mentor from the foundation鈥檚 National Advisory Committee
- A peer mentor from the Macy Faculty Scholars alumni network
- Tuition costs for one Harvard Macy Institute course
- Access to Macy grantees and programs
- Attendance at the Macy Faculty Scholars Annual Meeting
By providing scholars with these resources, the program aims to accelerate their careers, turn their teaching practice into scholarship, and help them become impactful leaders locally, nationally and beyond.
If you would like to be considered for selection as 大象传媒’s one candidate for this program,聽submit the following聽to Liz Steadman (ebms@med.unc.edu) no later than Sunday, June 1, 2025:
- A brief description (no longer than one page) of the educational project you would pursue
- Your current curriculum vitae (CV)
- Chair or Division Chief support letter
The candidate 大象传媒 sponsors for the program will later submit an application for consideration by the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation, which chooses up to five Macy Faculty Scholars per year.
Applicants must be United States citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or of its territories.
