NIH will issue future Guide Notices with a new effective date and additional implementation details once they are finalized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does this mean for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Until further notice, please continue using the <strong>current NIH <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.nih.gov\/grants-process\/write-application\/forms-directory\/biosketch\">Biosketch <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.nih.gov\/grants-process\/write-application\/forms-directory\/other-support-format-page\">Other Support<\/a>\u00a0format pages<\/strong>\u00a0for:<\/p>\n<ul data-end=\"1104\" data-start=\"995\">\n<li>All grant applications<\/li>\n<li>Just-in-Time (JIT) submissions<\/li>\n<li>Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPRs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NIH Announcement:<\/strong> \ud83d\udd17 <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.nih.gov\/policy-and-compliance\/implementation-of-new-initiatives-and-policies\/common-forms-for-biosketch\" data-end=\"1333\" data-start=\"1173\">NIH Common Forms Implementation Update<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>ORCID ID Requirement Also Postponed\u2014but Action Still Encouraged<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While NIH has also postponed the planned requirement for <strong>all Senior\/Key Personnel to link their ORCID iD to their eRA Commons Personal Profile<\/strong>, we <strong>strongly encourage<\/strong>\u00a0faculty and key personnel to take the following steps now in preparation for these changes:<\/p>\n<ul data-end=\"1844\" data-start=\"1647\">\n<li>Create an ORCID iD (if not already done)<\/li>\n<li>Link their ORCID iD to their <strong>eRA Commons account<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Connect their ORCID iD to <strong>SciENcv<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Link their ORCID iD within the <strong>大象传媒-Chapel Hill <a href=\"http:\/\/go.unc.edu\/orcid\">portal<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Taking these steps now will ensure you\u2019re ready once NIH finalizes its new requirements and will help streamline future submissions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NIH has announced a postponement of the previously scheduled May 25, 2025 implementation date\u00a0for the required use of the new Common Forms for Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support.
