We don\u2019t recommend forwarding for all employees.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to test and prepare: See\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/phoneservices.sites.unc.edu\/forwarding-your-phone\/\">step-by-step instructions<\/a>\u00a0for forwarding your phone. Note: this must be done from your phone itself, so plan to do this before you leave the office!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span id=\"To_access_voicemail\">To access voicemail<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>You will need to reference the <a href=\"https:\/\/uncch.service-now.com\/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB0011197\">Voicemail User Guide<\/a> to navigate the menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span id=\"Virtual_Meetings\">Virtual Meetings<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you need to host or attend a work meeting virtually, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/it\/services\/video-conferencing\/\">Video Conferencing<\/a>\u00a0page for more details. You can schedule meetings in advance and\/or quickly organize an impromptu meeting. Tools are available via the web or a downloadable application.<br \/>\n<!--\n\n\n<ul>\n \t\n\n<li>How to test and prepare: Log in to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uncsom.webex.com\/\">WebEx<\/a>\u00a0(or the desktop client) and test creating and inviting others to meetings. You can also download the WebEx mobile app from the Apple or Google app stores.<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n--><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Have_a_computer_on_campus\">Have a computer on campus?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In most cases, you can use Remote Desktop to connect to it and work as if you were onsite. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/it\/guide\/network-connections\/how-to-setup-a-remote-desktop\/\">Learn how to set up remote desktop access<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Need_access_to_大象传媒_Health_systems\">Need access to 大象传媒 Health systems?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can still use the Hospitals\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/myapps.unch.unc.edu\">https:\/\/myapps.unch.unc.edu<\/a> Citrix portal.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In order to access the 大象传媒 Health Citrix portal you will need to be connected via the VPN. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/it\/guide\/applications\/set-up-citrix\/\">Learn how to set up Citrix<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span id=\"Chat_with_Colleagues_on_Microsoft_Teams\">Chat with Colleagues on Microsoft Teams<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Teams is the primary campus tool for real-time chat collaboration \u2013 you can even share your screen and host meetings with <a href=\"http:\/\/help.unc.edu\/sp?id=kb_article_view&amp;sysparm_article=KB0010294\">Teams<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to test and prepare: Visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/office365.unc.edu\/\">Office 365<\/a>\u00a0website, log in and choose the icon for Teams. In the bottom left corner, click the icon to download the installer. Test out chatting with colleagues to ensure you are comfortable with the functionality. You can also review\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uncch.service-now.com\/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB0010294\">step-by-step instructions<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span id=\"Access_Applications_Off-Campus_with_VPN\">Access Applications Off-Campus with VPN<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you aren\u2019t familiar with <a href=\"https:\/\/uncch.service-now.com\/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB0010155\">VPN<\/a>, you probably haven\u2019t needed it for your job. VPN is required to access things like your W-2 or paystub in ConnectCarolina from off-campus. It\u2019s also required to access the storage.unc.edu filestore and other campus services from off-campus.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to test and prepare: Ensure your VPN client is up-to-date and run an access test from home or another off-campus location.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uncch.service-now.com\/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB0010155\">Learn more.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span id=\"Work_Successfully\">Work Successfully<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Please keep in mind that in order to work successfully from home, you will need at least some of the following items.
