Kidney Transplant Outreach Clinic

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Kidney Center provides an outreach clinic on Fridays to areas across North Carolina to provide kidney transplant education classes and pre-transplant evaluation appointments for patients.

A transplant nephrologist and a nurse practitioner travel to one of the following sites for these outreach clinics: Asheville, and Raleigh/Rex.

Two decades ago, an incredible connection began with ´óÏó´«Ã½ Health’s first living non-directed kidney donation from a ´óÏó´«Ã½ Health nurse to a woman in need of a kidney transplant. 63-year-old Chapel Hill resident Anne Kelly and 69-year-old Clayton resident Debra Norris share their unique story of selflessness and gratitude and an instant unbreakable bond through one kidney.
