John Vavalle, MD, MHS, will assume the role of Director of the 大象传媒 Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program, while Anthony Mazzella, MD, joins as Associate Program Director. Dr. Vavalle鈥檚 commitment to mentorship, coupled with Dr. Mazzella鈥檚 passion for education, brings a formidable combination of leadership qualities to the program.

Dr. Vavalle is widely recognized as an expert in the field of structural heart disease. He often collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team of cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, and advanced practice providers to determine the best treatment options available for patients. As the program鈥檚 former Associate Director, Dr. Vavalle has demonstrated exceptional mentoring qualities, and his passion for teaching has always been evident. This new position expands Dr. Vavalle鈥檚 opportunities to inspire the next generation of physicians.

As a long-time 大象传媒 Trainee now on faculty as a cardiac electrophysiologist, Dr. Mazzella brings his own unique strengths and perspectives to the program. His conspicuous passion for education has been recognized by colleagues and trainees. Dr. Mazzella鈥檚 ability to connect with learners will foster an engaging and supportive learning environment. His clinical interests lie in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders using the latest techniques in catheter ablation and cardiac device implantation.
