About

Catherine grew up in Rhode Island and came to Penn State where she graduated with a degree in biochemistry. After college, she worked for two years (during the pandemic) as a research assistant at Rhode Island Hospital with work that included cardiology focused bench research. As a medical student, she has been involved with the medical Spanish program, volunteered actively with the HOPES student clinic, served as a mentor for the Ultrasound in Medicine course, and worked as an EMT. In recognition of her outstanding academic performance, Catherine was inducted into the AOA Honor Society. Catherine looks forward to being closer to her parents who currently live in Wake Forest, North Carolina!
