Darius Johnson is a dual-degree MD/MBA student who was born and raised in Lumberton, NC. He earned a BSPH in Health Policy and Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry. Prior to enrolling in 大象传媒 SOM, he was an implementation consultant for a healthcare technology company and a project manager for a pediatric practice. Witnessing his family endure challenges鈥攁nd falling through the gaps鈥攚hile navigating the healthcare system fueled his passion for health equity. This passion guided his pursuit of an MBA, with the goal of driving system-level change. This fall, Darius will apply to combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics programs. In the medical student chief role, he is eager to serve as a resource for others, especially application phase students.
