Jason is from North Carolina and has demonstrated a commitment to caring for the underserved and a passion for a future career in Nephrology! He was selected to participate with the 大象传媒 CAMPOS program and has used his proficiency in Spanish to help serve the local community as a volunteer with the NC Farmworker Health Program and worked with a research team to understand the barriers to self-monitoring of blood glucose in Latino patients cared for through Piedmont Health Services. He also served as a coordinator with the Diabetes Outreach Program through the 大象传媒 Internal Medicine Latino Clinic and has continued to serve as a peer support advocate through the school of medicine. He is co-president of the Kidney Interest Group (and is beloved for bringing homemade Kidney shaped cookies to Med B during his AI!). In recognition of his outstanding academic performance, Jason was inducted into AOA Honor Society.
