About

Kate grew up in Apex, North Carolina and attended Hopkins for college where she majored in Chemical and Sustainable Engineering and was a player with the Varsity Women鈥檚 soccer team. After college, she worked for three years as a wastewater staff engineer in Raleigh before deciding to apply to medical school. As a medical student, Kate has been dedicated to research, participating in multiple projects, receiving several research awards and scholarships, and serving as the student leader for the Biomedical Research Scholarly concentration. She also serves as a staff supervisor and Dermatology liaison at the BRIDGE student run clinic, leads the Dermatology student interest group, and mentors more junior students. Kate will be pursuing a career in Dermatology and is looking forward to returning to North Carolina!
