Pedro is originally from Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 7 and grew up in Georgia.聽 Pedro obtained a degree in nursing and worked as a nurse before deciding to attend medical school.聽 As a medical student, Pedro has served as a mentor, speaker, student representative for the school鈥檚 LCME site visit, president of the school鈥檚 LMSA chapter, and has worked as a lead coordinator for the Distinction in Service to the Community program. As a medical student, Pedro continued to work as a nurse in the Emergency Department.聽 In his 鈥渟pare鈥� time he is a proud father to 3 children under the age of 10!
