Rubie grew up in California and graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Biology. Rubie has been dedicated to service and has a commitment to caring for the underserved. As a medical student, she has actively volunteered with the Homeless shelter and Street Medicine group, co-founded the Suicide Awareness and Prevention Interest Group, and co-founded the Garden student interest group. She has served as a council member for the Michigan ACP chapter as well as a delegate for the LMSA chapter and has led as the CFO for her school鈥檚 AMSA chapter. Rubie was selected by the Department of Medicine to serve as a Student Chief, and currently she is interested in Global Health. Rubie looks forward to moving to North Carolina to be closer to her grandparents in Laurinburg!
