About

Shwetha graduated from the University of Miami in 2020 with degrees in Neuroscience (BS) and Public Health (BSPH). She then moved to Baltimore to attend medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She has a passion for global ophthalmology, and was a part of the Global Health Leadership Track while in medical school, and went on a research trip to the Aravind Eye Hospital in Pondicherry, India. She also pursued a 1-year ocular pathology and research fellowship at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah studying the biocompatibility of novel intraocular lens designs. Shwetha enjoys painting, hiking state and national parks, and travel. Shwetha will be staying at 大象传媒 for her Ophthalmology residency after completion of her preliminary year.
