Zane Kaiser
Internal Medicine Medical Student Chief
About
Zane grew up outside of Chicago, IL and studied biomedical engineering at the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at 大象传媒 and NC State University. After graduation, he worked as an engineer at Cook Medical, supporting the production of endoscopic devices. During this time, he solidified his desire to pursue medicine and began learning medical Spanish while volunteering at a free clinic and a federally qualified health center. Through his training in the Comprehensive Advanced Medical Program of Spanish (CAMPOS), Zane is expanding his ability to care for all patients, with a particular focus on Spanish-speaking populations. He was drawn to internal medicine by its complexity, emphasis on problem-solving, and the opportunity to build meaningful patient-physician relationships. Zane is also passionate about teaching, mentorship, and the integration of technology in healthcare. As a Medical Student Chief, he is committed to supporting his peers, easing the transition into clinical clerkships, and fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students pursuing internal medicine.
