Chris received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Spanish from the University of North Carolina 鈥揅hapel Hill. After graduating he remained at 大象传媒 in a research assistant role, supporting various departments including Genetics and Psychiatry. He joined the Lineberger Cancer Center in 2015 as a Clinical Research Coordinator, organizing therapeutic oncology trials.

The听NCTU听supports over 60 active industry, NIH, and investigator-initiated studies at any given time. The Center鈥檚 previous听Director, Dr. Susan Wilson retired from 大象传媒 in January 2024 after a long and lauded career as a nurse, researcher,听director, and professor. 听Anne Beckwith served as Interim听Director听for the听NCTU. Anne has guided the team through transition with superb leadership and responsibility.听 In addition to Anne鈥檚 interim leadership, Candace Henderson stepped up and took on many of the Assistant听Director听roles. They both managed more than one role while taking on the biggest project for the听NCTU听in many years, the transitioning all of the听NCTU鈥檚 studies to the OnCore platform. Department leadership extends our deepest appreciation to Anne and Candace for their service as Interim听Director听and Interim Assistant听Director听for the last eight months.
