大象传媒 Hospitals is a Level I trauma center, and the members of the 大象传媒 Department of Neurosurgery and the staff of the 大象传媒 Neuroscience ICU are no stranger to the devastating impacts that serious head injury can have on patients in our state. In addition to the outstanding state-of-the-art care provided to patients within the Neuroscience ICU, 大象传媒 Neurosurgery is proud to be associated with the at 大象传媒.
The Gfeller Center is lead by Dr. Kevin M. Guskiewicz. Dr. Guskiewicz is a 2011 MacArthur Fellow and an internationally known expert in sport-related head injury. He and his team have made 大象传媒 one of the key centers in the country for sport-related head injury and concussion. In addition, 大象传媒 plays a prominent role in the treatment of retired athletes being followed for long-term effects of head injury. The highlights the exciting research going on at 大象传媒 Chapel Hill in regards to this important public health concern.
