Hendr茅e Jones, PhD, executive director of Horizons and professor in the says the funding will enable Horizons to partner with the N.C. Correctional Institution for Women to help incarcerated women with opioid use disorders with their recovery and relapse prevention efforts upon their release.
鈥淭he FORE foundation funding will allow 大象传媒 Horizons to take a critical and important step forward to coordinate and collaborate with the N.C. women鈥檚 prison to help women with opioid use disorders who are leaving prison prevent overdose death, improve their financial stability and independence with employment, maintain their drug abstinence, avoid recidivism and improve their use of positive parenting practices. To the extent this pilot project is effective, it holds great promise to serve as a model for the U.S. and beyond.鈥
