Amy Bryant, MD, MSCR presented alongside fourth year medical students from the 大象传媒 at the
Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics Faculty Development Seminar in Amelia Island, FL.
Dr. Bryant serves as a faculty advisor for Brittany Cureton, MPH, Sophia McFarlane, MPH, and Madeline Thornton, MPH. The three students are currently in their fourth year of medical school and presented on the work they have done over the past year as medical student chiefs. One of their workshops, 鈥淪ocial Media Gems: Polishing Your Presence to Make your Clerkship #Sparkle,鈥� focused on the power of social media and how it can be used as a supplement to medical educational materials for students in clinical years.
The workshop 鈥淟eading with Clarity: Cultivating Ob-Gyn Medical Student Chiefs as Leaders and Advocates鈥� focused on the role of medical student chiefs in enhancing medical education, advocating for women鈥檚 health in medical education, and addressing women鈥檚 health disparities.聽 鈥淭he two workshops highlighted the work these students have been doing over the last year in their roles as 4th聽year medical student chiefs who enhance the curriculum for 3rd聽year medical students doing their Ob/Gyn clerkship,鈥� said Dr. Bryant.聽 鈥淭hese interactive, engaging sessions received positive feedback from the participants.鈥澛�
Dr. Amy Bryant is an Associate Professor and Director of the Complex Family Planning Division in 大象传媒 Health鈥檚 Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also the current director of the complex family planning fellowship at 大象传媒 Health.
