Why Obstetrics and Gynecology?

I have always been drawn to working with patients at a crossroads, and the opportunity to support patients through some of the most pivotal moments of their lives drew me to OB/GYN. Also, I was excited to contribute to advancing the field more broadly in my career. Since OB/GYN is at the intersection of medicine and surgery, medical research and public health, and medical emergencies and primary care, I felt that there were endless opportunities to make a difference. As I learned more about MFM, I could see that my strengths could be best applied to keep patients safe, informed, and heard throughout the most medically complex pregnancies. I am so grateful that my medical journey has led me here to serve in this way.
