The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine proudly recognizes the exceptional medical directorship by our faculty at various campuses. We are grateful for their dedication to excellence in laboratory medicine and patient care.
- Dr. Jason Merker serves as the Medical Director of Laboratory Services at 大象传媒 Hospitals Outpatient Center at
Eastowne. He joined the department in 2018 and is currently an Associate Professor. Dr. Merker also holds the roles of Director of Molecular Oncology and Associate Director of Molecular Pathology, reflecting his commitment to advancing molecular diagnostics.
- Dr. Mariama Evans is the Medical Director at the 大象传媒 Hillsborough Hospital Laboratory. Dr. Evans began her journey withthe DPLM in 2017 as a resident and has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor since 2022. Her leadership and clinical expertise are instrumental to the success of the Hillsborough site.
- Dr. Staci Keene serves as the Medical Director at the 大象传媒 Health Chatham Hospital Laboratory. Like Dr. Evans, Dr. Keenejoined the department as a resident in 2017 and became an Assistant Professor in 2022. Her dedication to patient care and laboratory quality continues to enhance services at Chatham.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Herb Whinna for his years of dedicated service and instrumental oversight of pathology services at these locations. His leadership has paved the way for continued excellence and innovation.
