´óÏó´«Ã½ Health is a not-for-profit integrated health care system (established under North Carolina statute N.C.G.S. § 116-37) and is owned by the state of North Carolina. It is comprised of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Hospitals and its provider network, the clinical programs of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ (´óÏó´«Ã½SOM), and several affiliate hospitals and hospital systems across the state of North Carolina.

The following entities are all considered part of ´óÏó´«Ã½ Health for HIPAA compliance purposes and are subject to the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Health HIPAA policies:

• ´óÏó´«Ã½ Rex Healthcare
• Chatham Hospital
• Caldwell Memorial
• ´óÏó´«Ã½ Physicians Network
• ´óÏó´«Ã½ Health Alliance
• ´óÏó´«Ã½ Senior Alliance
• ´óÏó´«Ã½ Faculty Physicians
• ´óÏó´«Ã½ (all )
• ´óÏó´«Ã½ Rockingham Health Care

The following entities are also part of ´óÏó´«Ã½ Health, but are only subject to those ´óÏó´«Ã½ Health HIPAA policies and HIPAA privacy program elements that they have formally adopted:

• Onslow Memorial Hospital
