The Muenzer MPS Research and Treatment Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was\u00a0<\/span>established<\/span>\u00a0to advance research, treatment, and support for individuals with Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) and related lysosomal storage disorders. Founded in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>November 2022<\/span><\/span><\/span>, the Center was developed under the leadership of Dr. Joseph Muenzer, a pioneering expert in MPS, with a mission to address the complex needs of MPS patients and their families. Although the new clinic space was unveiled in November 2024, the Muenzer MPS Center team has been active in clinical care and clinical trials for MPS for many years.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
