About

Alexandra is a dedicated clinical mental health counselor in the Department of Psychiatry at 大象传媒鈥檚 Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (CEED). With a strong commitment to advancing and expanding access to mental health care, she is currently focused on eating disorder treatment as a Clinical Instructor at CEED. Alexandra enjoys working with adolescents and young adults struggling to build and maintain a positive connection with themselves and others, which may stem from or manifest as an eating disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and/or PTSD.

Current therapeutic interests include the integration of mind-body approaches and practices for improving mental health, such as yoga and mindfulness/meditation to improve a person鈥檚 overall wellbeing. She is also interested in the budding field of nutritional psychiatry.

Alexandra is a registered yoga teacher and a certified integrative mental health professional. She has a working level of French and aspires to broaden her language skills to eventually offer counseling services in French and Spanish respectively.

When not working, Alexandra enjoys anything art, animal, or food related. Sometimes, these all mesh into one activity when she鈥檚 feeling inspired in the kitchen. She also loves spending time with her dog, Alfie (Alfredo Sauce); who probably wishes she鈥檇 drop more of her edible conglomerated creations on the floor more often.
