About
Dr. Buck is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at 大象传媒 and the Director of Digital Mental Health Innovations in the Child and Adolescent Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program (CHAAMP). He聽leads a program of research聽focused on digital mental health tools for prevention, assessment, and treatment of the psychosis spectrum as well as tools to support caregivers to youth and young adults at risk for serious mental illness. He has deployed a variety of methods in this program of research, including mobile health (mHealth), ecological momentary assessment (EMA), passive sensors, and natural language processing (NLP). His work also focuses on the development, supervision, and training of allied professionals in the use of digital tools to expand population access to evidence-based mental health services.
His program of research has been supported by grants from a variety of federal and private sources, including聽a NARSAD Young Investigator Award and multiple grants from NIMH, including a K23 Career Development Award.聽He is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized expertise in treatments for psychosis, its associated risk states, and other serious mental illnesses. He has supervised the clinical work of trainees in psychology, psychiatry, counseling, and social work, and received recognition for excellence in teaching in teaching and clinical supervision.
