大象传媒 Department of Radiology is pleased to announce former Chair Matthew A. Mauro, MD, FACR, FSIR, FAHA, has been named Chair of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Board of Directors. Dr. Mauro鈥檚 selection was announced Tuesday, December 1, at the RSNA鈥檚 annual meeting (virtual).

大象传媒 Department of Radiology is pleased to announce its former Chair Matthew A. Mauro, MD, FACR, FSIR, FAHA, has been named Chair of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Board of Directors. Dr. Mauro鈥檚 selection was announced Tuesday, December 1, at the RSNA鈥檚 annual meeting (virtual).

As Chair, Dr. Mauro will lead the RSNA Board of Directors in advancing patient care through educational programs, supporting scientific discovery through the Research & Education (R&E) Foundation and providing the premier forum for scientific dissemination. He will balance this national leadership position with his current institutional roles as President of 大象传媒 Faculty Physicians and as Senior Executive of Revenue Cycle for 大象传媒 Health.

鈥淥ur goal for the coming year is to evolve and innovate our scientific and educational platforms to solidify RSNA鈥檚 position as radiology鈥檚 preeminent organization in radiologic sciences,鈥 Dr. Mauro said. 鈥淲e find ourselves in an environment with new demands and requirements on the manner in which we disseminate and transmit information. It is a distinct honor to be named chair of the RSNA Board of Directors.鈥

Dr. Mauro has held many leadership positions within the institution, his subspecialty (Interventional Radiology) and the Diagnostic Radiology field. His RSNA leadership positions have included: 1) Scientific Program Committee member (four years as Chair); 2) Public Information Advisors Network member; 3)听 annual RSNA meeting educational course faculty facilitator; 4) Associate Editor of Radiology (2002 -2007); 5) R&E Foundation Public Relations Committee member; 6) Corporate Giving Subcommittee member; and 7) R&E Foundation grant reviewer. Dr. Mauro has served on the RSNA Board of Directors since 2015, most recently as Liaison for Education.
