Bio
Zachary Gude is a first-year research resident. He was drawn to medical physics due to an聽extroverted appreciation for people and a broad fascination with science. During his PhD research, he helped develop and characterize a novel imaging system using X-ray diffraction to enhance soft tissue contrast and support surgical pathologists in cancer detection. He worked closely with pathologists to understand their workflows, existing technologies, and limitations, allowing them to design a solution that integrated principles from radiation physics and computational imaging. Zachary enjoys playing and watching sports, exploring local culture, and discovering new foods.
