North Carolina Cancer Hospital at the 大象传媒 Medical Center has received accreditation from the Commission on Cancer鈥檚 聽(NAPRC). The 大象传媒 Medical Center is the only accredited organization in North Carolina.
鈥淭his is a tremendous accomplishment that validates 大象传媒 Medical Center鈥檚 long-standing leadership in the area of colorectal cancer,鈥� said Karyn Stitzenberg, professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology and 大象传媒 NAPRC program director. 鈥淥ur multidisciplinary rectal cancer program is a team effort that brings together the expertise, vision and hard work of numerous individuals across the Medical Center. According to the NAPRC, research has shown over the last 20 years that rectal cancer outcomes are variable and highly contingent upon specialization, training and program volume. The NAPRC aims to ensure patients receive quality care by evaluating programs for structure, patient care processes, performance improvement and performance measures.
