Project II Leader

Mehmet Kesimer, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and . He leads Project II for the 大象传媒 Center for Tobacco Regulatory Science and Lung Health. One of Dr. Kesimer’s main interests is to understand how the mucosal barrier and its macromolecules function in airway defense in normal lungs, and how they compromise and contribute to the pathogenesis of chronic hypersecretory lung diseases such as cystic fibrosis, COPD and asthma.
