About
Marc Bjurlin, DO received his medical degree from Midwestern University and completed his residency at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago. After residency, Dr Bjurlin completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at New York University along with a master of science degree in clinical investigation through the New York University School of Medicine. Prior to joining 大象传媒, Dr. Bjurlin was Assistant Professor of Urology and Director of Urologic Oncology at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn and was recently selected by Super Doctors for a 鈥淩ising Star鈥� distinction in the New York Metro area.
Dr. Bjurlin鈥檚 clinical practice is focused on urologic oncology鈥攊n particular, the treatment of bladder, prostate, testis, and kidney cancer. He is a member of the integrated Multidisciplinary Genitourinary Oncology Group at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. His team takes a collaborative approach to create a personalized treatment. Dr. Bjurlin鈥檚 expertise has allowed him to serve on national committees that establish care guidelines for the management of cancers of the urinary tract including the American Urological Association鈥檚 committee on the Standard Operating Procedure for Prostate Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Bjurlin participates in research focused on employing advanced surgical procedures including the use of robotic surgery to maximize the quality of life for people with urologic malignancies. He is also a member of the American Urological Association New Technology and Imaging Committee
