About Advancing Caner Treatment (ACT)
is a philanthropic initiative designed to improve access to clinical trials for cancer patients. The hypothesis is that both grant support and public recognition will help alter public opinion toward clinical trials and encourage participating programs to learn from one another.
ACT also provides awards to publicly promote best practices and innovative solutions by organizations, institutions, and physicians that demonstrate increased patient access to clinical trials and illuminate the benefits of these trials as first line therapy. The current focus is on improving accrual to prostate cancer clinical trials.
