A Pioneering Facility Dedicated to Improving the Lives of MPS Patients and Advancing Research
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill proudly announces the grand opening of the Muenzer MPS Research and Treatment Center, a cutting-edge facility dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients with Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS). The opening ceremony will take place on聽Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, marking a major milestone in MPS patient care and research at 大象传媒 Chapel Hill.
The event will feature a聽video showcasing the center’s development, followed by a welcoming message from聽Dr. Kim Stephens聽(Executive Director, Muenzer MPS Center). The keynote address will be delivered by聽Dr. Joseph Muenzer聽(Director, Muenzer MPS Center, Bryson Distinguished Professor), who will highlight the center鈥檚 mission and vision. Attendees will also enjoy聽tours of the state-of-the-art facility,聽live entertainment from a local band, and the opportunity to meet the center’s expert team, including specialists in聽genetics, enzyme replacement therapy, developmental testing, and聽clinical trials.
